| FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT This week, we made early progress on both. LeadingAge Florida hosted a roundtable with several senior services organizations and AHCA on Thursday to discuss current funding opportunities for the implementation of Health Information Exchange technology, as well as ways to better understand current HIE adoption rates and barriers to adoption. LeadingAge Florida has been a leader in these conversations in the past, and we are proud to take the lead in re-energizing this effort. We will keep you posted as we identify funding and models for ways in which HIE can deliver both healthcare and business value. Our thanks to AHCA for their help with this project and for hosting our first meeting. |
