Preparing for a Successful Financial Audit

at a HUD Property

Description: This session will discuss various steps and techniques an organization can employ to help improve all aspects of the annual audit process at a HUD funded property. The session will cover both the financial audit, and the HUD required compliance testing items for tenant files, Section 8 billing, and more.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn steps your organization can take to improve the timeliness of the year end audit process
  2. Learn tips for minimizing compliance findings
  3. Identify strategies for reducing audit adjustments

Location: Virtual via Zoom. Please make sure your device has software loaded prior to the start time of the course.

Target Audience: Staff at HUD funded properties involved with the financial audit process.

Registration Fees:

Registration closes promptly the day before the course start date. 

Cancellations/Substitutions: A $20 admin fee will apply to all cancellation refunds processed. Substitutions are available at no charge during the active registration process. All substitutions and cancellation requests must be received in writing via email to Kacie McCloud at KMcCloud@LeadingAgeSoutheast.org. There are no registrations, changes or refunds after registration closes, so please plan accordingly.
