The Power of Technology in Battling Social Isolation and Loneliness
Research confirms that the older adult population continues to be plagued with the effects of physical and social isolation, including depression and loneliness. For years, many industry insiders have advocated that technology is part of the solution. Certainly, the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of many of these technologies and will undoubtedly usher in the next generation as well. Join this presentation to discuss the technologies of today and those of the future that we hope will help us continue this fight against social isolation and loneliness, and to improve the quality of life for elders living at home or a senior living care community. Attendees will learn about taking what we learned from COVID in 2020 across care and services, and strategies for resident and operational success in 2021.
