HUD to Launch New Online Training Program About REAC Inspections

As alerted by LeadingAge, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is preparing to launch a new online training option for its Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) three-day inspection training program, not for inspection certification, but for property management staff. Select LeadingAge staff and members are testing the program out before it goes live to the public. Interested parties will soon be able to participate in the program at their own pace and from the convenience of their own home or office.

The REAC inspection training has historically been a three-day program for multifamily housing and public-housing property representatives, owners, agents, and for those interested in learning about the UPCS inspection protocol and REAC inspection process.

More details on how to access the program online will be posted on the LeadingAge website at http://www.leadingage.org/REAC_Online_Inspection_Training.aspx as soon as they are available. Questions and comments may be directed to Janie L Ealey, REAC/UPCS Training Coordinator, at (202) 475-8556.
