Regulations Include Connectedness: Become Connectedness Coordinators
THURSDAY, MAY 14, 2026 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. ET/9 a.m. - 10 a.m. CT Webinar
Clinical care is essential, but life in senior living communities cannot be reduced to tasks, treatments, and documentation. When connection is left to chance, residents feel it. Intentionally building an expectancy of engagement enables participation, relationship, and purpose to become the norm.
This program explores how to intentionally weave social connectedness into everyday practice, regardless of title or department. Attendees will learn how to proactively link residents with their people and create individualized plans that ensure no one drifts into isolation, along with innovative strategies to strengthen connection such as: • Creating an oath against boredom • Creating a process for discovering what each person is famous for • Engaging residents in a process to collect their advice and life lessons into a Wisdom Book for current and future generations
When connectedness becomes everyone’s responsibility, caring deepens, culture transforms, and communities grow stronger. By the end of this session, attendees will understand how cultivating resident connectedness is compliance with federal regulation and for all settings, a desired standard of practice that makes a difference for all.
