LeadingAge Florida Honors the Career of Harry Hobson with Lifetime Achievement Award

As a result of a career-long dedication to advancing senior living, LeadingAge Florida honored Harry Hobson, CEO of Plymouth Harbor on Sarasota Bay, with its Lifetime Achievement award, one of the Association’s most prestigious awards.

LeadingAge Florida Applauds Governor for Signing No Patient Left Alone Act

Today Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 988 into law, ensuring that visitation will be available to residents in Florida’s long-term care facilities. LeadingAge Florida applauded the Governor for his action and issued a statement attributable to President and CEO Steve Bahmer.

LeadingAge Florida Lauds Governor DeSantis for Extending COVID-19 Liability Protections

Last night Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 7014 into law, which will extend important COVID-19 liability protections that are currently in place for long-term care providers. LeadingAge Florida applauded its passage and issued the following statement attributable to President and CEO Steve Bahmer.

LeadingAge Florida Announces Rhanda McKown as Director of Affordable Housing

LeadingAge Florida announced today that Ms. Rhanda McKown has joined the association as its Director of Affordable Housing. Ms. McKown joins LeadingAge Florida from the North Tampa Housing Development Corporation where she served as a Local Contract Specialist. Rhanda has nearly 20 years of experience in various aspects of the housing industry and spent the last 15 years conducting Management and Occupancy Reviews (MOR) under the Performance Based Contract Administration (PBCA) contract in Florida.
