Are You Prepared For The New Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Rules - Nearly every employer in the nation will be affected by the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) proposed revisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime exemptions. Their impact will touch not only how employers classify their exempt and non-exempt employees, but organizations’ bottom line profits. Beginning in 2016, employers will have to pay time-and-one-half overtime pay to many employees for hours worked over 40 in a work week, and who had previously earned a straight salary under one of the White Collar Exemptions. The proposed rules in the FLSA are some of the most significant changes to the workforce in nearly 50 years. That is why you need to attend this webinar.
This webinar will be led by Joel Cullum, Senior Vice President of SESCO Management Consultants. SESCO Management Consultants is a national human resources and employee relations consulting firm located in Bristol, Tennessee. Since 1945, SESCO has been providing professional human resource consulting services to clients throughout the country.
Learning Objectives:
- Provide an overview of the proposed changes and background
- Identify employee classifications that may be affected
- Discuss strategies to comply with the proposed changes
Date: November 4 – 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST
